Greg Merson added another World Series of Poker cash to his record with a 32nd-place finish in Event #85, the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament, on July 6, 2026.
PokerNews lists the result at $6,571. The finish followed Merson's cash in the $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty event three days earlier, giving him two recorded results during the closing stretch of the 2026 series.
Merson's connection with the World Series of Poker goes back to his first Main Event cash in 2009. His defining season came in 2012, when he won both the $10,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em Championship and the Main Event before being named WSOP Player of the Year.
